Miley Cyrus: 'I'm loving and living my life'

Miley Cyrus has shared her happiness with her life at the moment, telling fans that she is in a "good place right now".

The 'Can't Be Tamed' singer recently returned to the US after wrapping her 'Gypsy Heart Tour', which took in destinations across South America and Australia.

Cyrus wrote on her Twitter account: "In such a good place right now! So happy 2 finally enjoy what I've worked so hard for:) Im loving & living MY life! No more BS Im #doinme (sic)."

The 18-year-old will next perform at the Starkey Hearing Foundation's So The World May Hear Gala in St. Paul on July 24. She became involved in the organisation following a trip to Haiti to distribute hearing aids to people in need of help.

Meat Loaf, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire and youth choir group Libera are among the other performers at the star-studded event, while Marlee Matlin and former President Bill Clinton are among the honorees for 2011.

Cyrus, who has reportedly reunited with former boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, was recently nominated at the Teen Choice Awards, in categories including 'Choice TV Actress: Comedy' for her role in the now-finished Hannah Montana.

The Last Song star has also been nominated for entry into this year's Celebrity Bowling Hall of Fame, alongside the likes of Lady GaGa, Justin Bieber, Nick and Joe Jonas, and Lil Wayne. Taylor Swift was the 2010 inductee.

WERE SELENA GOMEZ AND MILEY CYRUS THERE FOR DEMI LOVATO DURING REHAB?

Demi Lovato's new single Skyscraper is a heartbreaking song about fighting back against her eating disorder and self harm which she spent several months in rehab overcoming. After rehab Demi tweeted the accusatory message, "Btw it's funny how people come around now that your (sic) back on your feet and comin' out with a single... Where were you last year?!" We wondered who she was referring to? Did old BFFs Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez abandon her?

Well the answer is NO. They were totes there for Demi when she needed them. Despite the fact that Demi's friendships with Selena and Miley had gone through rocky times, when it mattered they both came to her aid.

This makes us happy. Go girls sticking together!

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Demi said:

"Selena and I hadn't spoken in a long time. We just had some issues that we had to deal with. But the day I went into treatment I get a phone call from her and she was the one sobbing on the phone.

"She was like, 'Are you OK? I've been crying non-stop. Are you sure you're OK?' And, all issues aside, I started crying too and I'm like, 'Yes, I'm OK.'"

Then discussing Miley she said, "She sent me a Christmas present and that meant a lot to me because I didn't get Christmas presents in there [rehab]... I just have incredible friends."

We're glad to see that Demi Lovato is still referring to Miley and Selena as 'friends'. We all know that Selena and Demi had gone through a rough patch but perhaps now, after rehab, they're stronger than ever.

Aw we hope they can one day be besties like this again. We forgot have funny they were together!

Demi Lovato Grateful Gomez And Cyrus Stood By Her Side

Disney star Demi Lovato is grateful for the support she received from high-profile pals Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus - because their love helped her get through her darkest days in rehab.

Lovato spent three months in a treatment centre at the end of 2010 and the beginning of this year (11), battling an eating disorder, self-harming and depression issues.

And the singer has now paid a special thanks to Gomez and the Party In The U.S.A. hitmaker for standing by her side, even though her decision to get help and speak out about her problems may have been considered "taboo".

During an E! News interview special with Ryan Seacrest, which aired in America on Wednesday (13Jul11), she said, "Selena and I hadn't spoken in a long time. Demi Lovato Confessions: ‘Joe Jonas is Small, Smoked Weed with Miley Cyrus’

The troubled Disney star allegedly poured her heart out in rehab and revealed that everything you pretty much assumed is true. A confidant at Timberline Knolls spilled all of Demi’s confessions to The Dirty.

According to this anonymous fellow rehabber, Demi talked openly about all the things that plagued her including cutting, Joe Jonas’ penis size, smoking pot with Miley Cyrus, trying cocaine and heroin at a party and the back-up dancer beat down.

On the fact that those jelly bracelets weren’t the source of those marks on her arms: “She was bullied when she was younger which caused her to physically “relieve stress”(cutting) throughout the age of 11 to 18.”

On having sex with Joe Jonas who used her: “She openly admitted to members and patients in rehab, that she has had sexual intercourse with Joe Jonas and it started since the beginning of camp rock. That they would frequently do it and that the Jonas Brothers Purity ring was complete crap. None of the brothers followed that rule and was a “publicity gain” to make fans and more endorsements come in that was enforced by their father who was Demi’s manager. Joe and Demi dated earlier in the beginning of the Camp Rock Rise of Fame but she revealed that he was a “player who was in it for sexual gain” and his penis was “small”. She said he did the same to Taylor Swift, Camella Bell but Ashley Greene cheated on him with her ex, Jared Followill.

On smacking the back up dancer, Alex Welch: “Demi told staff that she had been frequent partying and had an experience with drugs and that Alex Welch threatened to tell Her family, manager and people from Disney; but Demi responded that it was “none of her business” and than physically attacked her which she realized was her breaking point and that she needed help.”

On the fact that salvia isn’t the only thing Miley Cyrus smokes: “She was a frequent marijuana user and would “smoke weed with Miley Cyrus”. She also tried ‘Cocaine and Heroin’ at a party but decided she hated it.”

Now lets all throw this some ‘well, duh’ and remember that the source was in rehab with Demi so the likelihood he/she would concoct a confessional of what we pretty much already knew in exchange for Dark Eyes Vodka and coupon for a free appetizer at Chili’s is a factor.

Billy Ray Thought Miley Would Bring "Hope" To The World

Billy Ray has revealed why he originally called his daughter Destiny Hope, before she changed her name to Miley Cyrus.

In an interview with Piers Morgan this week, the country singer told the talk show host that he thought the Party In The U.S.A. singer would bring "hope" to people.

"This was Miley's dream. This was her - I believe to touch people's lives. Through her music and her life," he told Piers. "I still believe that.

"You know, her name was originally Destiny Hope, I had given her the name before she was born because I had a vision. I felt it was her destiny to bring hope to the world.

"When I see her selling out arenas around the world or on her TV show, making people laugh, bringing families into the living room together, we always, try to put positive messages in each episode if we could.

"And, you know, I do think that she - this is her purpose - her path."

The Runway Light singer added about the LOL actress: "Miley really, really has a good heart. And she loves people. She loves music. She loves entertaining.

"There's a lot of things that Miley does that I wouldn't go into right now on a humanitarian basis. But Miley is a great humanitarian. She really cares about her fellow man, and people, and the planet and animals."

Miley Cyrus Bong Scandal Made Billy Ray Feel "Numb" With Pain

Talking with Piers Morgan in a new interview this week, Billy Ray Cyrus has opened-up about how he really felt when his daughter Miley Cyrus was caught smoking a bong last year.

Miley made headlines when video footage of the teen starlet leaked online, showing the actress and singer puffing on legal high Salvia with friends.

He now tells Morgan: "Bong-gate happened in the midst of my darkness, in my darkest hours.

"By then, I was a bit numb of pain at that time. And realizing that, you know, oh my gosh..." says the Achy Breaky Heart singer.

"As a father, I was alarmed for my daughter's safety but at the same time my whole world was crumbling apart beneath my feet anyway so there wasn't a whole lot I could do."

Despite the setback, Billy Ray is proud of what Miley has achieved in her career so far.

"I think she's well on her way to being the happiest I've ever seen her. I think she's thriving as an artist right now. She has two movies in the can that she's worked on over the past several months."

MILEY CYRUS GETS POLITICAL

Miley Cyrus is dumbfounded that our laws protect accused child killers like Casey Anthony instead of encouraging love, like gay marriage.


Miley Cyrus is getting political. The teen entertainer is aghast that laws protect people like Casey Anthony, who although acquitted of killing her daughter Caylee was convicted in the court of public opinion, while not allowing more love in the world by legalizing same-sex marriage.

Miley made her statement on Twitter. "You know the world is skewed when people get away with murdering children but we cant get gay marriage legalized in the state of California," she wrote.

Despite -- or perhaps because of -- her belief in Christianity, Cyrus has been a longtime proponent of gay rights. Back in 2009 when Perez Hilton was feuding with deposed Miss USA Carrie Prejean over her anti-gay marriage stance, Miley tweeted her support.

"Jesus loves you and your partner and wants you to know how much he cares!" she wrote back then. "I am a Christian and I love you -- gay or not. Because you are no different than anyone else! We are all God's children!"

Cyrus recently spoke out against the retailer Urban Outfitters for donating cash to the campaign fund of gay-hating Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum.

So OF COURSE the judgy-wudgys (official name) are coming out and saying 'ooh you're tarnishing your image' and 'ooh yu're not a sweet Disney princess anymore' and 'ohh you're a role model behave yourself Selena!' and such.

A bit like all the hassle Miley Cyrus got when she started being more 'adult'. But they're two very different people...




"I have a right to live my life," she told Fox and Friends.

"I feel I've done a really good job in the position I've been put in."

We have to agree here, she's hardly a horrible skanky mess that even Amy Winehouse wouldn't be better off than is she?

"But in a way I feel like I have done the best I can and that's how I am. If I make my family and fans proud, that's all that matters to me."

Miley Cyrus Closes Out Her Gypsy Heart Tour in Perth

Bringing her Gypsy Heart Tour to a close, Miley Cyrus finished up her overseas efforts with a show in Perth, Australia on Saturday night (July 2).

The former "Hannah Montana" star took the stage at Burswood Dome to the delight of the audience, once again offering an energetic performance.

Churning out hit songs such as "Party In the USA" and "The Climb," Miss Cyrus also mixed in a number of covers such as the Gorillaz hit "On Melancholy Hill".

Aside from bringing her tour to an end, Miley took to Twitter to encourage her fans to vote for her after being announced as a nominee in the Choice TV Actress: Comedy and Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon: Female categories.

Pleading for support, Cyrus tweeted, "Please vote for me on this years Teen Choice Award =] I am sooooo excited! Can't believe I'm nominated again! You guys are the bestttt xxx"

Miley Cyrus Encourages Kids To Make The World A Better Place

Miley Cyrus has recorded a video for a charity-based social networking site which she supports.

GetUrGoodOn.org, the offspring of non-profit organization Youth Service America, is a virtual social network where young people are connected to volunteer opportunities in their communities. Get Ur Good On embraces all kinds of causes and gives grants for young people to take action and get involved in any way that they prefer.

“The mission of the foundation… is [for] kids to encourage other kids not to spend time putting each other down, but to come together and meet through this, and for it not to be about anything else but love and the passion of doing good,” Miley says in the new video. "The biggest way to do that is through the internet. So I wanted people to be on the internet, talking about what needs to be done and what they should be doing to encourage other kids. You can do anything [on the site] that inspires you, it’s what you want to change and what you want to do. It’s kids making their opinions matter and getting out there and changing the world.

“Go to GetUrGoodOn.org and tell your story.”

Encouraging people her own age and younger to support charity and make the world a better place has been a passion for the star for a number of years.

“If you pick up a guitar when you’re 8, you’re really good at it by the time you’re 20,” she told Time Magazine in 2008. “It’s the same with giving back. My family has been visiting Kentucky coal-mine towns since I was little. We take clothes, gifts, and school supplies. It’s an eye opener for me, seeing families here in America living in Third World conditions. And it makes me want to make a difference. The truth is, it’s never too early to get involved. Someday today’s kids will be running for President. Now is our prep time. We need to get some practice in before we save the world.”

Miley Cyrus is hardly a shy girl but even she might be embarassed after a picture of her looking a little 'perkier' than usual turned up online.

The pic, which was posted on Twitter, shows Miley and a friend posing for the camera. Unfortunately for Miley, her sheer white top is doing little to protect her modesty. One click later and the whole world has seen what only Liam Hemsworth is supposed to.

Yes, the couple are officially back on, as we told you recently. Having reunited in recent weeks Miley and her actor boy were seen shopping in his native Australia. He stands a good chance too with both Miley's Brother and Dad praising him.

Miley Cyrus: Darlinghurst Shopping Before Concert!

The 18-year-old actress/singer and her mom Tish scoped out the fashionable Darlinghurst shopping district on Oxford Street for some cute finds.

Later that night, Miley hit the stage at Acer Arena for a packed crowd. According to MTV Australia, Miley performed quite a few covers including “Landslide” by Stevie Nicks.

“Although the covers weren’t met with the same zealous reaction as her originals, Cyrus did her best to put her own stamp on them, and ‘Landslide’ in particular provided a great backdrop for her powerful and surprisingly intuitive vocals,” they shared.

Miley Cyrus remembers tragic Dunn

Miley Cyrus has opened up about her sadness at the loss of Jackass star Ryan Dunn, posting an emotional tribute online with a picture of the pair laughing together.

The TV prankster was killed in a high speed car crash in Pennsylvania on Monday and a number of stars have honoured his memory including rockers Kings of Leon, who remembered Dunn on stage at a London show this week.

Cyrus has now revealed her own connection to the tragic funnyman, posting a picture on her Twitter page of herself sitting with Dunn and laughing hysterically.

She writes, "Just found this picture of me cracking up at Ryan Dunn. What a happy energy he had. RIP."
