THE DISNEY CHANNEL AND JUSTIN BIEBER MAKE FOR A TOUGH LIFE HEY?
As much as Selena Gomez seems to live a glorious life with amazing outfits, impossibly shiny hair, a pop career, a fashion line, big acting roles and a superstar boyfriend (er...what was our point again?) it must be tricky having the world watching you when you're growing up.
We're not saying 'oh boo hoo you poor celebrity you didn't bring this on yourself at all by getting into the fame game,' but y'know, it must be annoying having everyone judging your every move right?
Now that Selena's contract with the Disney Channel is over, she's moving onto bigger, more adult things (like wearing smokin' hot dresses and being snapped doing naughty things with Justin Bieber) with her acting and singing.
So OF COURSE the judgy-wudgys (official name) are coming out and saying 'ooh you're tarnishing your image' and 'ooh yu're not a sweet Disney princess anymore' and 'ohh you're a role model behave yourself Selena!' and such.
A bit like all the hassle Miley Cyrus got when she started being more 'adult'. But they're two very different people...
"I have a right to live my life," she told Fox and Friends.
"I feel I've done a really good job in the position I've been put in."
We have to agree here, she's hardly a horrible skanky mess that even Amy Winehouse wouldn't be better off than is she?
"But in a way I feel like I have done the best I can and that's how I am. If I make my family and fans proud, that's all that matters to me."
Very wise words.
