With Monte Carlo in theaters, Selena Gomez recently spoke about her future in acting while doing a promotional interview for the film in which Selena explained how she wants to take on more mature roles.
In a new interview with Selena Gomez at femalefirst, Gomez expressed her future dreams of acting in film and how Selena wants to step away from television now that Wizards of Waverly Place has wrapped. "Being on a show for four and a half years it’s all you’ve known and it’s your life," said Selena, "you just want to go and do different things. The biggest thing that appeals to me about movies is because you are not playing the same character and you get to change it up."
Although there has been recent talk about Selena Gomez being the perfect young Charlotte York in a Sex and the City prequel, Selena confirmed that the buzz was only rumor. "No, there’s no truth in that," admitted Selena Gomez. "But I will be going on tour this summer across the U.S., which I am very excited about, and hopefully I will be doing another movie in the fall."
