THE YOUNG STAR ADMITS HER JOB IS VERY SUPERFICIAL…
Selena Gomez seems to be a lot nicer than most famous types. We’ve never heard any stories of her throwing diva strops and she always comes across pretty down-to-earth.
However in her TV show that will soon be airing on E!, Selena admits that sometimes it can be easy to believe your own hype and become vain.
She said: “This is a very superficial job. I sit in a chair for two hours and get hair and makeup done and talk about [myself] in interviews. That’s a very vain thing to do. And I do get caught up in it sometimes. I do.”
Wow nice one admitting that Miss Gomez, but makes us kind of worried as to what the other celebs must be like who aren’t as grounded and sweet as you.
The young singer and actress revealed that although she never set out to be someone that young people looked up to, she was happy to take on the responsibility.
“I never really said I want to be a role model. But then when it happened I was so down for it. Once I realized that I’d have a little girl come to [me] and say she wants to be just like [me]. It [is] beautiful and I accept it.”
She did though admit that she makes a lot of mistakes which she has to keep under wraps.
“I’m human, I’m not perfect. I make mistakes all the time, but I guess my job is to keep those mistakes to myself, which I’m already fine doing and just try to be the best I can be for those kids.”
